Kibi is the old name of a region in Japan. One spring day, I went cycling along the Kibi-ji route.
On the left, you can see a granite quarry where Mannari-ishi is extracted. My grandfather worked as a stonemason.
I passed by Kibitsuhiko Shrine. I sometimes buy a road safety amulet there.
Tsukuriyama Kofun is an ancient keyhole-shaped burial mound. It is said to have been built in the 5th century.
I finally reached my destination for the day. Beyond a small field of canola flowers, you can see the five-storied pagoda.
